I’m a member of a dinghy yacht club, at the end of the year, I need to be able to provide high point scores for over 10 fleets or classes of racers. Race results are posted online and on the scoring computer. If I use the scoring computer with all scoring results available for the entire year, can I import all results into one sailing race and get a one time high point score for each class? Any help or advise appreciated.
You can merge files. Have the earliest race opened first. Start at File, go to almost to the bottom of the column and you’ll find a “Merge in another Sailwave” series operation. Browse and find the next race you want to merge. Try it with a couple of races to see how it works.
I had to merge 149 races this past year. The first year I did it, I had no problem printing out the cumulated races. This year I could only print the first page. I asked a local expert and he suggested that instead of using your default web browser when Publishing, you can choose another program i.e. Excel. It’s not as pretty as using the web browser, but I could print all 15 pages.
I’ve been updating my version of Sailwave and don’t know if that had anything to do with the printing issue. I could see all the races, but just couldn’t print them. (Maybe it had something to do with printing an html file. We’re now printing to a pdf file." By using Excel I can print them. I’m about to update my version of Sailwave again and hope that nothing changes.
