I had a phone call today from a Sailwave user who is trying to set up a High Point Scoring System and needed some help. I have never used HPS and need some support.
There are four different race days with different number of sailors. The HPS system is that the result is total number of compettors in the race minus place in finnish + an extra point for every race that you are competing in.

Apart from the formula as given by Phillipe, does your user know that High Point Scoring has to be selected under User Interface; then that formula is entered under Scoring System / Race Scoring; and points for DNC, DNF etc is entered under Scoring System / Scoring Codes? For the latter, first click the hand symbol at window bottom to select `Typical high point’, then edit the individual codes, e.g. DNF, to be correct fixed value, e.g. 1
