I am trying to use the subject effect on a series, and i will not work.
The Effect is selected within the Publishing window.
The only thing i am not sure about is that the Dependancy is noted as jQuery… what do i have to do in regard to this ?
Thx
John
Hi John - Sailwave adds the jquery automatically when you add effects Jon

Hello,
Further to my last response.
I have done some further checking and i can see the script in the HTML code via the browser, but i have no idea why the table is not being modified.
If you want to access the test page it is here:-

Thank you for your continued support.

It’s because you’ve published the scores without decimal places; it’s somewhat more usual to publish points as decimals to avoid confusion with places and so that ties are correctly resolved etc. The script seems to look for 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0
var winsSelector = ‘.summaryrace’;
var winsText = /\b1.0/;
var twoText = /\b2.0/;
var threeText = /\b3.0/;
It would not be hard to tweak the script so that the user could supply alternative regular expressions for the 1,2,3.

Hi John - Looking at your results. When you score with Sailwave the default is to have points displayed rather than positions. I assume to get the results as you have them, you have manually changed the display to positions rather than points before publishing. By default the display will then be in points displayed with 1 decimal place e.g. 3.0, 4.5, 9.0 etc etc.
The Javascript you are using is looking for the 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 to colour code them as there are none there - none get colour coded.
There have been some advances in the color coding in the latest version of Sailwave. This is the new version embeds Ranking position for ranks 1-3 in the html so this can then also be used with High Point scoring or when non standard formats of points are used.
If you want to do this you can use this new version (replace the sailwave.exe with this one)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oubxg7gh79dksa8/sailwave.exe?dl=1
and for the effect use this one
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kmtdimlku3xnsck/HighlightWins3v3.js?dl=1
The latest version also has an option to display points with trailing zeros’s suppressed if this is what you prefer and the v3 highlighting will work with that

Jon,
Thanks, i will have a look at the new version, thank you for this.
ref the comments about points and positions, no i did not change the points to positions, i just changed the rounding to 0 decimal places. (Zero)
Jon,
Updated to the latest version of SQ.
Loaded the latest version of the effects.
Changed my display option to score using 1 decimal point and not to suppress training zero.
Effect still does not appear to work.
Thx
John
Colin,
Thanks, did you see my latest response?

Hi John,
This is using Sailwave 2.23.4 with points displayed with 1 decimal place
And the Effect is the one on the Sailwave website effects library HighlightWins3
And this is Sailwave 2.23.4 with the option to suppress trailing zero’s but displaying points calculated to 1 decimal place
And using the Highlightwins3v3 (Link supplied earlier)
There is the screen with the options
Hope this helps. It is not a good idea to round points to zero places as tie breaks wont work correctly.
But if you tick the suppress trailing 0’s then it will still work at the resolution selected but the trailing zero’s wont be displayed, but any decimal points will.
Jon
If you still have a problem give me a call and we will sort it out
