One of our competitors received a post race penalty of 30%. I can only find the SCP (scoring penalty) code which applies a 20% penalty.
You can edit the SCP to make it 30% , providing the standard one isn’t also being used.
In that case, make a new one like SCP, call it SCP2.

Please be aware that Rule 44.3 (c) was changed (rounding) for the current quad. Sailwave can manage it, but you will need version 2.37 or higher. See below:

Having trouble with a sailwave series currently with the Post Race Penalty. I’ve followed all of the above advice but;
a) the points being added don’t equaly the 20% (It is taking the competitor from 3rd out of 36 boats and scoring them 37 points rather than 13.8)
b) the other competitors scores are not supposed to be changed and it is moving everyone else up a place.
Any suggestions?

Just a quick closure for issue Matthew (Cobra524) was having.
It turned out to be resolved by removing the ILCA6 results for R5 which were all DNC anyway, as the fleet ran out of time for the race to be started after black flag starts.
The issue encountered does need further looking at to see if there is a problem in Sailwave.

I created a code PRP, using the same method of SCP with a 30% penalty. The problem is if a boat has more than one penalty (also applies for SCP and ZFP), in which case I add manually the number of points of the penalty (or apply DNF points). In the Sailing Instructions I mention this code.
Since Post Race Penalty exists in the Rules, I believe it should have a code in Appendix A)

Welcome to the Sailwave User Group Forum.
Sailwave, v2-38-2, is compliant with 2025-2028 RRS Appendix A and its scoring codes. World Sailing say what codes should be used, so they would be the authority to add to the list of scoring codes in RRS Appendix A. So for now, as you have done, the code PRP has to be created manually in Sailwave. You should also, if you have not done so, ideally change the code description on the properties tab when editing the scoring code.
When RRS Appendix T is invoked in NoR or SIs, I usually create two codes, ARB & PRP, as in Appendix T are two different scenarios of outcome. PRP is showing the penalty was a accepted before an arbitration hearing, whereas for me ARB is a penalty accepted after an arbitration hearing.
In regard to multiple scoring penalties for a competitor, the only way is to manually calculate the total penalty points and then as you seem to doing use a created scoring code with fixed points equal to the total of penalty points. This calculation need to done against the scored points and not the recorded position, which although usually are the same thing they might not be.
