I get the impression that many clubs have this issue. We require one RC day per year in order to be eligible for trophies, but only enforce it for the Season champion trophy and our last series of the year. We give RC a calculated score to allow them to count towards series qualifications, but that comes with it’s own issues. Our attempts to motivate fall short of motivating members who are not likely to win trophies. Usually this isn’t a huge problem, but I am curious how others handle this issue.

i have a small club of about 12-18 that race out of 45 members. I usually do not have issues with getting folks to RC. I do use the OOD code for RC boats, which gives them an ave per how they raced for the series they are in. We do not have a “you have to RC” during the year, but most will do so on there own, with out too much prodding.
