How to score different fleets using NCH??

Hello all,

I am looking for some help to score a dinghy race series i.e. the “winter handicap” using NCH progressive handicaps with three different fleets in the series scored separately.

Using the attached file with NCH external/debug, I find the Sailwave provides new race ratings for only the first fleet in the series (double handed crews). It gives scored points, but not new race ratings, for the other two fleets (double handed helms and single handed helms). I am not sure it is actually calculating updated race ratings for these series. I am using Sailwave version 2.18.5 with the standard NCH templates.

I would appreciate any insights on what I need to do to get Sailwave to complete the scoring of the three fleets in a single file.

Kind regards,

Ian Grant

Hi Ian,

There is a known issue with multiple NHC fleets in all versions

since 2-18-5. Jon is aware of the problem and has I believe a newer
version almost ready for release. He did not have a chance though to
do any testing before he went on holiday. He has been back for a few
days but is probably catching up on other things like work, so may
not have been able to do the testing he wants to. Watch this space I
am sure it will be fixed and a new version available soon.

Kind regards,

Huw

Thanks, Huw.

I look forward to Jon’s updates. In the meantime I scored the series with fleets in separate files, which worked fine.

Regards,

Ian
