I’ve imported several race series from csv files, which all went smoothly. However, when I attempt to score the series (using Yachting Victoria yardsticks) after ticking the box for “auto set competitor ratings” under Scoring System, it does not pick up and/or set yardsticks for any competitor, even though the imported class names are identical to those in my ratings file. These imported class names are listed in the top section of ratings under “class” in the competitor entry/edit box and do not appear in the bottom section, suggesting that Sailwave recognises these classes from my ratings file. To correct this, I’ve had to manually change each class entry to some nominal class not in the file and then when the class no longer appears in the top section, after changing all such entries, I can then select it from the bottom section, once it reappears there after all existing occurrences have been renamed. This is very time consuming and to my way of thinking shouldn’t happen, or there’s something I’m missing. I’m using ver 2.19.8 under Windows 10.
Does anyone have a solution.
Cheers
Brian
Hi Brian,
There are no known issues in this area.
If you go to the Sailwave Menu and select Help and then Logbook
You should see something like this
Check the loading rating from and verify it is where your rating files are stored and also the number of ratings matches what should be there.
Then if you still have a problem if you could share your blw I’m sure we will solve it quickly for you.

Just for the record in case it helps others
Brian sent me the files via a PM.
Hi Brian,
I’ve had a look, the problem is the rating file has all the ratings as YV for the VYC Yardstick. Sailwave expects this to be VY
So I edited them all to VY and did a rescore and it works with two exceptions - it couldn’t find an F12 in your ratings file and the “Nacra 16 sq” is in the ratings file as “Nacra 16sq” on editing these Sailwave was happy to load all the ratings and score
Hope this helps
Any problems let me know
Regards
Jon
