I have to tell you, this is a most impressive group. Not just the
yahoo group but everyone in Sailwave development and it's users. This
is an incredibly active group, passionately devoted to providing an
under appreciated service to other sailors. Do we actually have lives
beyond scoring? Are any of us actually sailing? I am, I'm scoring just
youth events, but I wonder about the mental health of some of the rest
of you.

Wel, Robb.... I love this group!
Especially that the developer of SW is so nice to us and are answering alot of stupid questions! Just hoping he has the same benefit as I.
Actually, development should be done during the winter. But, that time of year it's quite quiet in this forum.
anyway, I'm doing a bit sailing myself but mostly I support my kids. I'm from the north of Norway, whitch is quite beyond the northes Canadian border..... Now living in south of Norway, I've been learning about sailing.... Tomorrow I'll be doing (sailing) the every year Classic boat regatta in Grimstad. It's about 20-30 classic boats, 9m - 12m and so on. maybe next year we'll have the Brittania replica among us.....
About mental health: I don't have, and I'm glad not too!
What I got from this group, is actually "friends" who are doing lots of the same as I do: Supporting our kids, and supporting scoring in our clubs (and country). I wished we could, perhaps, exchange scorers now and then ? And sailors too! If this group gives me this oppourtunity, I would be very pleased!!
I've met several people hos do the same as I. A Swede with a son sailing Zoom8 (as my son), a Englender with boys sailing 29er (as my daughter). What else can you wish for? (Maybe a beer, a Hennesy or even a Metaxa!)
All this is actually, has Colin given us! And he doesn't even have any profit at all!!
So give Coling a CHEERIO !
