Individual boat entering multiple divisions for a single race

Hi,

We organise ocean races where a single boat can be entered in

multiple divisions. All of these divisions have the same start time
and location. They all finish at the same location.

We've been looking at SailWave, primarily because the web publishing
facilities are so much better than what we have now.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can copy with our
situation? <

At present you would have to replicate the competitor in each fleet. More
flexible multi-fleet facilities are planned, but it needs to be done in a
way that keeps Sailwave conceptually simple to use; probably the main reason
it's so popular. Depending on the date of your regatta, we could work
together using your event as a development platform.

However, as I'm sure you'll discover, there is other software out there that
has pretty good web publishing facilities and more sophisticated multi-fleet
capabilities.

Regards,
Colin Jenkins

Thanks Colin,

We'll set up and run through one of our previous races to see if it
is easier than what we are using now. When we sat down and thought
about it, our existing software does that anyway. For ocean races,
we don't have a vast amount of entrants anyway and they tend to be
the same boats each time. We'll investigate using templates.

Even though our requirements are very ocean specific, we'll feedback
our impressions.
