In our Frostbite series, there are generally several races in a day but some sailors do not compete in all the races. The series score is supposed to be the average of the score of the races in which he competed, subject to a qualification of starting >50% of the races.
All this is working but the SIs give a competitor a throw-out if he sailed in more than 4 races. Is there a way to set this up in Sailwave? It appears the discard profile is driven only by the number of races in the series ® or the number that have been run (s) and not based on individual competitors.
In the attached file, boat D8 qualified but should not get a throw-out because he only competed in 3 of the 5 races.

Hello Andy, Follwoing your guidance from below, I'm having problems reconciling the discard because the DNC is configured in a way that it is giving the individual competitor credit for sailing. For example, 5 races, sailed in 2, DNC in 3. If I set the DNC to Average but non-discardable, the sailor is treated as if they've sailed in all 5 races and one of the races they sailed gets discarded.
Also, how do I add a column that calculates average points per race. This is what we use to calculate finishing position.

I raised the same issues some months ago and Colin said he would add a couple of options in a later release to make this work easily. Don’t know if they made it yet. Colin?
