Issues with main Fleet and Alias Fleet

I am suddenly having issues with One Design Fleet scoring that have Alias Entries.

We have two fleets on of Design boats, and in order to generate more interest we decided last year to introduce the RYA NHC rating system.

This issue is in two parts i will explain the first in this thread and move onto the second when this issue is resolved.

I have decided to split the scoring of two One Designs in RYA NHC mode into two completely separate files, however ideally i would like to have a combined file as these races take place within the same regatta.

OK Simplified, my issue is that i have one file, for fleet, one is attached to this thread.

I have a Finish time scoring system that reports "First Past the Post scoring for the “normal” fleet and generates a Handicap scoring via the Alias method.

However if you look at the file attached you will note that the races 1 through 4 for boat 686 have no rating stated and the scoring was accepted OK. The other point is that there are no ratings logged for Race 1 & 4 for two other contestants…

What is happening???

This problem is also evident within a separate file for another One Design Class, that is racing in our club.

The real issue begins what i try to report both fleets together within the sale file and perhaps i will get to that later.

Hi John
Looking at your file - you have not set up the alias fleet correctly to use the NHC progressive handicap.

I’ve updated the file for you - hope that helps

Thanks, that is weird, as these results for this event were based on a Fleet Base which i use to start/populate all Events from… and that has been working.

I note from the changed File that you removed the Base Fleet category and now the HC fleet inherits nearly everything from the base scoring set up, except teh Ratings off course… was that the issue i had???

Hi John that is what I assumed you were trying to do. You set up a base fleet and then for aliased fleets you just override the functions/parameters that you wish. That was all I changed.
