Thanks for that, but not it. This was last year I think. I’ve extracted the relevant code from *http://www.sailwave.com/results/cjmtest.htm# *into an effect file for safe-keeping. I think effects can be used to great, well, effect and as I’m doing some scoring again for MYC, I intend to gradually build up a library. I’ll post them on my blog and then if Jon wants to use any in the install he can do so. Currently there are some buglets in Sailwave that need fixing when using more than one effect, which hopefully between us we can resolve soon. I’ve emailed Jon the details.

My archives have some uses and the fact you had used another name
was the main factor.
Something I would like to see and others have asked is the ability
to click on column headers to sort on that column and/or other
columns by CTL-click. I have experimented with TableSorter

I have managed at some point to get one of theme working but not
reliably and consistently. My preference is TableSorter as it looks
more polished but that is the one I think I did not get working.
Anyway pleased to have been of help.

The reason the jQuery tablesorter plugin (prob best option) fails is because Sailwave does not produce strictly correct HTML for the tables - specifically it doesn’t generate THEAD and TBODY elements (which the plugin looks for). it would be trivial to tweak the Sailwave source code to do that and then it would be subsequently very easy to add a generic ‘Sortable’ effect that would act on all published tables if included. If Jon tweaks the code (or gives me temporary access to it) I’ll write the effect.

Ah that makes sense now, I thought I was going loopy; I know my
coding skills are very poor compared to you & Jon but even so I
