Hi John, tried the competitor list and the prize list using wine on ubuntu and can report they both worked flawlessly.

The installer will install the 3 programs Prize List program, Competitor list program and the multilap finishing Program if you choose Typical. If you choose Custom you can select which of the programs you install but they are all small anyway. An uninstaller is included if you want to uninstall.

It doesn’t as yet include Timed finishes, hope to make a start on that next week. There is a known issue at the moment if you have excluded competitors but I will fix that soon.

It does also include a small utility to import simple csv files which we used at the ISAF Youth Nationals to take results straight from the finish boat into sailwave. See Documentation for a bit more info.

I may be able to help. As some of you might know I’ve just recently been

developing an add-on to be used with sailwave, to handle a Grand Prix style
finish to enable the LWA to use sailwave instead of their DOS based program.
What this does is:-

You run the pro
gram and it automatically populates a grid with the

competitors from the last opened Sailwave file (You can select a different
file if you wish)

You then enter the sail nos each time they pass the finish mark.

You then enter the sail nos into the program using its own built in sail no
wizard (Similar to the Sailwave one). But the difference here is you will
be entering the same sail no multiple times.

You then highlight the first competitor to finish and click Calculate. It
instantly scores the competitors into their true positions allowing for the
number of laps - Warning you if a competitor has finished multiple times

You then click the “results to sailwave” and it automatically locates the
sailwave program and if it is open then it saves the file that sailwave has
open, closes sailwave, inserts the results into sailwave and restarts

ailwave with the amended results

This leads to a very efficent system as there is no reentering of
competitors, No need to purchase Excel and no need to get involved with

importing into sailwave.

I have this all working now but I have some testing and fine tuning to do
before I release a Beta - But hopefully will release a Beta next week.

Now I appreciate this is only currently of use, if you are racing a single

class as it does not currently accept timings for handicap racing - but if
there is a few people that would like this let me know and I’ll add it in. I
might even be persuaded to build in Phils formula!!

There is, but the formula is not available in SW.
The problem occurs very often for races ending close to sunset.

The boats have to finish the last lap after the fixed time within

You record all times a boat rounds the finish mark
