Sailing instructions say something like the following:
“The time limit for races will normally be a maximum of 1 hour. Boats failing to finish within 20 minutes after the finishing time of the leading boat or within the race time limit, whichever is the lesser, will be scored “DNF” (Did Not Finish).”
Is there any where I can put the 1 hour or the 20 minutes into sailwave to automatically work out if an elapse time of a boat is 20 minutes after the lead boat has finished?

Hi Nick - although there is no automatic DNF for boats past the cut off time it is extremely easy to do in Sailwave. Even if you use Start and finish times Sailwave will calculate the elapsed time for you. You can display elapsed times in the main grid by F6 then “e” then click on the race header and then set any boats at the end of the list which are past the cutoff times to DNF
In my experience the DNF is usually done by the recorders rather than the scorer especially when you are racing with position results as the times for each competitor don’t come to the scorer.
