Hi,
I am trying to create a locale for the german language.
Working with the original locale file (eng.ini) published on the
Sailwave home page, I have experienced some problems.
After I have made the necessary changes to the "eng.ini" file and
named it "ger.ini", I found that in the series window every item
remains in english.
I checked with the "sve.ini" file and it is showing the same behavior.
After starting Sailwave with an empty "ger.ini" file and checking the
new entries sailwave had made in this file,
it seems that are some missing entries when compared with the original
"eng.ini".
The last lines in the "ger.ini" file written from sailwave were:
[WinImportCSVResults]
TAB:Map=Map
The following chapters are completely missing:
[WinSaveTeamToHTML]
[Series]
Could there be problems with reading and writing to the local
ini-files? Especially reading from the locale file,
since this could explain why the series window remains always in
english.
Software version is Sailwave 1.52 and I am working with a Win98
system.

Hi Harald,
I'll check it out. As you have discovered, the best way to get an
up-to-date English locale to work from it to let Sailwave populate it on
startup, after starting with an empty one. If you work from this, you
should be OK. I'll check for problems as well. Note that 1.53 has been
released now, which includes some user interface changes.
Regards,
Colin
