Low Point Averaged Scoring System

I feel that I should ask the question again...

We sail a long spring and fall series. We are using the low point
averaged scoring system. This allows our elderly, amateur, skippers
with kids in soccer programs, and beginner sailors the luxury of not
having to race every weekend.

I would like to continue using this fantastic scoring program -
however, it does not allow for a code that fits our needs. I am using
version 1.95 build 11 - the current version.

I am currently using the program - but at this time, will have to dump
the final results into a spreadsheet and score the series by hand -
I'd really rather not have to do this.

The problem is this - we throw out up to 2 races after 50% of total
races qualification has been met. OOD count toward the 50% - but is
not discardable. Races that have NOT been attended, currently are
scored as DNR (did not race). I've made up this code, and it is scored
as the average of all non-discarded races (so it doesn't effect the
average points or nett - which is the determining series score.)

I need this DNR code to not count as a race sailed, so that when I
enter a discard profile (for instance 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,2) - the
DNR's are not counted as races. In this way I can have the proper
throw outs awarded.

Am I making sense to anyone out there? This is the second or third
attempt I am making to get a definitive answer. If there is another
way to accomplish the goals of scoring a low point averaged series
within Sailwave - I'd be willing to try it...

Unfortunately, if I can't get it done - then perhaps I'll have to
create a simple spreadsheet to do it - but I'll never have the
features of this program - and I'll certainly be disappointed.

What about setting up DNR to be not discardable - see the Properties
tab of the code detail window.
