Merge Races Questions

I have 3 separate .blw files for 3 series (Spring, Summer, Fall) from last year that I want to combine into a single large series. Each series has essentially the same racers, but there is some variation. If I open any of the series and then select “Merge in another Sailwave series…” I then get 3 options. I believe the top option (“Merge/match competitors and append races/results” is the only one that makes sense for this since each series has 24 potential races, but it refuses is merge in the new series. If I select the bottom option (“Append competitors and merge/match races and results”), it does just as it states. I end up with 23 races but each competitor is repeated up to 3 times. If I start the process by first importing competitors from .csv or .blw file, I then get up to 4 sets of results, one of which is totally blank. I am using Window 8.1 and the latest version of Sailwave .

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi Tom

Which fields did you select to merge the competitors see sample below

otherwise could you supply two samples. I tested it like this and it worked fine

is there a way to merge multiple events into one overall series using just the Final results column (ranking) without importing all the individual race results.

Yes,
Use Merge (File menu)
Select Merge/match competitors and create a new race using the
series ranks from the merged series
It works fine
