Merge Series problems

I'm trying to use the "Merge in another Sailwave series", and it appears to work fine until I click "score" on my newly created file and everyone is assigned one point.

Here is the process I used:
1. Create a new Sailwave file with 1 race and 1 boat (want zero, but no matter)
2. Choose "Merge in another Sailwave series" and bring in one of my previous files.
3. Click "Score" and all the results change to "1".

If I view various other data, it's all there it just isn't scoring.

So I started over and began with my first file of races, saved it with a new name and then merged the remaining files into it. That seemed to work, however, the wind speed setting for each race was not brought in with the results, so when scored there were some differences.

Please check on the merging of the wind speeds for each race as that will be needed when I prepare to submit US Portsmouth results this fall.

I also have a minor suggestion to consider- At my club we almost exclusively use elapsed time to record results. When I enter these using the Wizard I now have to set the first one to the correct checkbox. The problem comes when I have results from different fleets mixed together - when I enter the first boat of a fleet I haven't seen before, I have to re-check the elapsed time button. This has changed the Wizard from a "no-look" data entry process to requiring me to double check before hitting Next. Two possible solutions for me: 1) Give me a way to set up my system to always default to Elapsed time. or 2) Don't revert back to place number when I get to a new fleet. Obviously not a huge problem.

Thanks so much for you efforts,
Jay Harrell

Thanks Jay, I'll look into your problems ASAP.. Suffering from "Hey Fever"
at the moment and struggling to anything done at all... :frowning:

The wizard is being brain dead - I 'll sort it out (if it's a new fleet and
there is already results for another fleet, assume the scoring method for
the other fleet). This will all be sorted out properly when I do the start
stuff - which keeps getting pushed back...

Colin

Hi Jay,

Testing here OK. Can you send me the mergee series and tell me which merge
options you used.

Please check on the merging of the wind speeds for each race as that will
be needed when I prepare to submit US Portsmouth results this fall.

This is on the development plan; I'll bump it up a bit.

I also have a minor suggestion to consider- At my club we almost

This should be OK now with the introduction of user-defined starts.
