I might be missing something, but I have been using
the Merge Series-Merge/match competitors and create a new race to
build an overall series from a number of open meetings.
Today I merged the results from this weekends open
into the overall series, but found the merge did not include those
helms who hadn’t taken part in the first event of the series. Have
I got something wrong?

2000 Class AssociationThink I found part of the problem. The missing helms
were amongst the excluded competitors that I had hidden. When I
unhid them and redid the merge all the places came across.
