I am trying to merge our spring series and summer series into
one 'new' series for the club championship. Whne I merge one into
the other it duplicates the competitor and puts, for example, 16 June
race 1 under 4 March race 1. Am I missing the point?!

Hi Paul,
No, you're not missing the point, the merge logic (while it can be useful)
needs a tweak to make it do what most folk require - I'm up to my eyes in
flipping DIY at the moment - but I'll make it my next task ASAP...

I am trying to merge our spring series and summer series into

Merging now upgraded with both behaviours:-
1. Append competitors but merge races/results.
2. Merge competitors but append races/results.
1. is useful if you have separately scored fleets in separate files and want
to import them into one file; this is the existing behaviour. 2. is useful
to combine N series into one longer one.
Not uploaded yet; ran out of time last night; will upload this evening
(Tuesday, GMT).
This addresses a hole that has been pointed out by a lot of users. Please
consider those emails now answered.
