meta refresh?

Tell you something that would be handy for me. I tend to set up a little intranet for big events at my club, including a dedicated box to display results and photos on a big monitor. It would be rather handy if there were a check box on the publish screen which would tick on a meta refresh on the published page.

Would want to be able to turn it off on the final published results of course, maybe even have it turned off automatically if results go final…

Or is there a way of doing it already. Haven’t spotted anything and I wouldn’t like to have refresh built into a template so it was in final results too. Its not a big deal to edit the page after, or even wander over to the other box and press F5, but it would be handy.

try creating an effect with this content:-

setTimeout((function() {
  window.location.reload(true);
}), 10*1000);
That will do a reload and clear the cache after 10 seconds. i think. not tested.
