My thanks to Jenny Fletcher of Langstone SC
for locating the file in question and mailing it to me as well as
placing it in the group file area for other unfortunates like me.
I am impressed with sailwave it seems to do every thing I want it to
and I like the fact that I can customise the html templates to
include my club/class specifics.
I can see where to view the template source code but have not seen where to
edit it. How did you get there?
My goal is to add the table format of "Netscape 4" to the compactness of
"Mad For Sailing".

At present, Colin doesn't provide a detailed set of instructions to
set up your own templates and styles, although he has said he will in
the future.
Till then, it's dependent on our own knowledge of html style sheets.
I've done a couple for Langstone/Laser 2000's. If you aren't in a
real rush, I'll see if I can produce something along the lines you
want. I could probably do it by next weekend and annotate in the
source what I've changed to achieve it.
Copy the style (not template) you want to base your style on to the My
Styles sub-folder and call it something appropriate using an extension of
.htm. You can edit it using a text editor (like notepad) or any HTML
editor - I use CuteHTML. For example to open with Notepad, right-click on
the style you've copied and renamed, and select OpenWith and then select
Notepad. Make your changes and save. You will see that your style is now
included in the style list when publishing. You can *stay* in Sailwave and
repeatedly edit your style to test it. In fact you don't have to come out
of Notepad either, just save the file and then switch to Sailwave and
publish to your browser to test - repeat the process until it looks OK. You
don't *have* to copy the style to My styles but I do sometimes tweak the
default styles and Sailwave *always* overwrites the contents of ./styles
(and ./templates) hence the existence of the My Styles and My templates
sub-folders.
