I run a series which involves 2 fleets. There is a Topper and a handicap
fleet: there are prizes for each. We also award a prize for the overall winner
who has the best results. The Topper are recorded by position only whereas
the others have recorded time/laps and then the position worked out by PY.
While it is easy to see who has won the overall prize I would liketo merge the
fleets. However Sailwave refuses as the two fleets were scored by different
methods. Is there some way that I can force the handicap fleet records to
'consolidate' into just numbers as it does when exported to html? Otherwise
will I have to exprot/import to and from Excel?

Hi Bill,
Your best bet is to always record elapsed times (or start/finish times) - even for one design fleets - then that gives you flexibility later when scoring in various ways.
There is now way to reconcile your two fleets as it stands. There is no logical or mathematical way to mix positions and times.
