We have a similar problem to 'cycscorer' My sailing committee
colleague who maintains the results puzzled over this one and neither
of us can see the problem.
A competitor in our Autumn series/fast handicap fleet sailed one race
and failed to finish and did OOD/patrol boat for the other 3 that
were sailed. There were 5 races, 1 wasn't sailed, 3 to count.
Sailwave would normally have computed the OOD's as an average of the
races sailed - in this case 2 - the same as the DNF in the one race
sailed, and then discarded one of the OOD's. However this would have
given the series to someone who had never completed a race which was
considered unfair. So, we manually entered the OOD's as 3 points. The
total points scored now shows as 11.
Now it counts the DNF and ALL the OOD's instead of discarding one of
them. It seems as if the fact that a score is manually entered
prevents it being discarded.
Colin, if you like I can upload the race file or email it to you
outside the group.
