Multiple Weekend Series

I need to make a series consisting of 13 weekends and every weekend has
to have a different scoring sheet wich will transfer the individual
weekend rankings into a sheet with the racing series overall ranking to
determine the series winner. This is for model yacht racing.

I just started working with Sailwave a few weeks ago.
Does somebody has a created file that meet this criteria that I can
download.

i’m not sure i follow but try using a file for
each weekend and a separate file for the overall - there is a
facility to merge in the overall points one series as a race in another
so in that way you can manually construct hierarchical series.

(thats assuming there are N races per weekend)

This is exactly the type of format that I asked about back in June. The
Ontario Windsurfing Circuit has a similar format to Carlos' model yacht
racing series. It is a series of several weekend races (6 in 2008) that
are separate regattas in their own right and are scored as such (see
example:
http://www.torontowindsurfingclub.ca/racing/archives/osa_results_2004.ht
ml). Each regatta, however, contributes points toward the overall
winner that is determined at the end of the series (i.e. after all the
regattas have been sailed). Is it possible to set up Sailwave to score
series racing that is made up of several unique individual regattas?

I would like to know more about who the individual regatta results are utilised for he overall series. For example

  • is each race of each individual included in the overall series, so that if each regatta has 5 or 6 races and there are six regattas there would be 30 to 35 individual races in the series results
  • is it the individual regatta overall positions that count in the overall series, i.e. if there are six regattas the overall series has 6 results but each each result is the boats position in the regatta
  • is it the Net points that count for in the over all series, i.e. if there are six regattas the overall series has 6 results but each result is the boats net points in the individual regatta
    In each case I would use an overall series file into which I import the results from the individual regatta files.

Sailwave cannot at present score across ranges of races within one file, I think it is in the development plan.
