I create the series for each season by using the previous season's file as a template. Part of the process is to delete any notes in publish results area. However when I have just noticed that when using the new file to publish results to the club web site, notes from previous seasons are being displayed despite them not being visible in the notes tab. I have tried unchecking the publish notes box and the old notes still appear on the webpage.
Anyone any ideas please?
Many thanks in anticipation

Hi Chris,
Without see the .blw file I don’t know exactly why - someone else may have an answer. But the the solution I would take is
Take a backup of the .blw file
Then open it in an editor such as Notepad
Delete any lines that start with “sernotes”
and Save the file
This will get rid of any of the notes
Let me know if you need any help
Regards
Jon

Could it be the Notes column, that is hidden on screen but marked for publishing?

Hi Jon
Thanks for the suggestion
I have opened in notepad and found the mystery note in a line starting "racenotes", there were no lines starting "sernotes". I have deleted this line and saved the file, but now cannot recognise it in Sailwave. Any ideas please?

Hi Chris,
racenotes are notes that are specific to a race. You should be able to just delete the line starting "racenotes" as long as you delete the whole line. I have just tested it again and it worked for me no problem. When you say it cannot recognise it in Sailwave what happens?
What version of Sailwave are you using?
Try making a copy of the backup again and deleting the line again being careful to delete the whole line and not leave a blank line and to not change any other data.
