The regatta organisers have implemented a unique scoring system for the event where only the first fifteen boats (or boards) in each fleet across the finish line are awarded points for that race with first place receiving fifteen points, fourteen points for second etc. Sixteenth position or higher receive no points. This obviously reflects on crews tactical choices as making the top fifteen in every race is essential. <<<
