Thanks Colin, but I don’t get an ‘add
venue’ button.
Can you check this, please?
I am using Win XP prof SP3 and IE 8
I note that after ticking the box “I
want to be able to create venues’, saving changes, leaving the page and
returning, the box is again unticked.
Could this be a security thing?

another
request.
It looks like the new website is going to work. 5th time lucky.
would appreciate it if users could exercise it a bit to eek out bugs.
Easiest way is to add a venue for your club. Feel free to add events even
if you don’t use them to collect entries etc.
Signin is with twitter/facebook/google/yahoo - this greatly reduces the
probability of spam events and venues - and is also very secure since you are
using their pro https systems and not a diy thing cobbled together by me.
if you don’t have any of these accounts, i recommend setting up a twitter
account for the purpose - it’s no difference registering with twitter and using
that account to sign into Sailwave, than registering with Sailwave directly and
a lot more secure since I don’t have https.
When signing in and making the connection Sailwave does not ask for any
personal info - only info that is already public domain - like you avatar,
screen name and id.
