Hi guys,
We have just finished our season and I have been asked to create a personal handicap series from our yardstick races.
I know I am supposed to use the NHC system, exporting the data to Excel and then importing it again to create the handicap change.
Can you please take me through this step by step, including the .exe I will need for it?
Much appreciated
Rob Morton
I have found your website description on how to do this Jon!
I am getting errors after clicking the ‘Ratings to SW’ button.
I get:
But I click the OK button twice and get:
So I assume that it is working

Hmmm,
I assume that I should be using the RYA NHC Rating system, but what mode should I be running it in?
Cheers

I am doing something wrong, as I don’t see the Excel spreadsheet populated by data, just blank cells

I am getting closer!
There are now populated data in the spreadsheet since I added ‘ – PH’ to the boat class name, but I am not able to score the series due to no rating value found
I guess I am not using the right scoring system

Hi Rob - Hope you have it all sorted now. If not drop me an email. There are still some reasons when you might want to use the separate program SWPH program but most (and a bit more) is now incorporated into Sailwave as you can now specify the custom xls template to use.

Thanks Jon,
It is sorted, but I am very happy to try the ‘in-house’ program within sailwave.
Can you point me to how I would use that, please?
Cheers

Hi Rob,
Basically to use a custom template - in the scoring system select NHC and then select External/Debug and then specify an Excel link by ticking the Excel link box and specifying the name of the Template you wish to use
