I’m looking at NHS scoring for next season for our PHRF boats.
We run five series over the summer, May through September, each with
four races. I set up May and scored it under NHS. Results were
fairly close to PHRF, but a few trends developed. I don’t know how
to pick up the ratings for the start of the June series. I assume
the ratings shown next to the last race for May were used for that
race. So where do I go for the ratings to start June?
One way to handle it would be to run a single series for the whole
summer, and just pick off the four series races as they come. This
seems unhandy.
For a NHS series of N races, you create N+1 races (5 in your
example). Then the final ratings are recorded in the (unsailed)
last race. These can then be used as the start ratings for the
next series.

A quicker way to get the last ratings calculated is to save the
file from say t he Spring series as a copy called Summer series.
Now delete all the races except the last one, you will now have
the start rating for the new series. All that is now needed is to
add the races for the new series.
You will also have the competitors in the file.
However to see the ratings. if you click the down arrow at the
side of the box likely with the words ‘Scored points’ in it, you
change what information is displayed. Select ratings and you see
the ratings used for each race.
Kind regards,

If you go to the top left of the screen there is a large drop down box that has a range of items that can be displayed including rating, finished time/place, elapsed time etc. Select Race rating, and this will display the rating for all races.
Option 2
Select columns then ‘new rating’ to be displayed then the rating for the next race to be sailed will be displayed. You can then export this along with all the competitor information to the clipboard and save it an spread sheet. Save the spread sheet as a CSV file then import that into a new series. You can use the “tools” set competitor field” to copy the information in the new rating column into the ratings coulum.
I cannot remember if this will bring Alias across.
I have not used the import from a Sailwave file function.
