Offshore Race Scoring Help

I am attempting to score an Offshore Race and have run into a couple of challenges related to time based penalties. The SI’s specify that a boat that is OCS is accessed a time penalty instead of being disqualified. Secondly RRS 44.3 is used with the penalty being the addition of 30 minutes to a boats elapsed time. Thirdly boats entered in the cruising class are allowed to use their engine, but are accessed a time penalty for each minute they use their engine. The sailing instructions read as follows:

  1. Any boat that is on the course side at her starting signal, or must comply with RRS 30.1, or starts on the wrong line, that does not return to the pre-start side of the line to properly start, will be scored OCS and penalized sixty (60) minutes of elapsed time in lieu of being scored points for the finishing place one more than the number of boats entered in the race. This changes RRS 28.1 and RRS A4.2.

  2. The scoring penalty RRS 44.3 will apply. The penalty will be the addition of thirty (30) minutes added to the boat’s elapsed time. This changes RRS 44.3.

  3. ENGINE USE IMPACT ON FINAL CORRECTED TIME – An Adjustment equal to (IN-GEAR-TIME * 0.40 * Square Root (LWL)) will be added to the Corrected Time to produce a Final Corrected Time.

Any thoughts as to how to calculate the results?

Scoring for these cases is possible - just enter the appropriate
times as per normal (handicap) scoring, but then it won’t be
possible to indicate a code, e.g. OCS or SCP.

Perhaps just a note, e.g. OCS in R4, or SCP in R6 ?
