Olympic style scoring

At the weekend I was asked to score an Olympic style event.
R1-3 normal races scored low points. (no problem)
R4 Top ten race and score double points.
R5 Others race and score double points + 20

Can this be done in Sailwave?

I see the help system says "Sumbission 025 which covers the Olympic medal race format" is an option but I could find no more explanation.

Having searched around Setup, User Interface (some tick boxes which might help?) Series Properties and Scoring System I didn't discover how I might set up the scoring system required.

Please can someone help.

Hi William,

Yes Sailwave can do this. Sailwave is used at the Sail for Gold events.

The starting point is to go to the User Interface and tick the box Appendix LE Addendum C and the Medal Race Box

This will then give you two new tabs in the Scoring System
App LE Addendum C and Medal Race where you can configure the parameters

You can tell Sailwave to Rank Non-Medalist after Medalists but adding 20 points you would have to do by specifying which competitors this applies to and adding these points. Although as Sailwave can rank Medalist above others there is no need to add the 20 points as I see it.

Sailwave supports Medal Races run in accordance with Appendix LE Addendum C. ISAF Appendix LE Template

In the User Interface window check the “Appendix LE Addendum C” and the “Medal Race” boxes.
