Is there any way to open swhelper with open office, also what is the oldest excel program can I use ie office 2003

Unfortunately, currently SWHelper cannot be used with OpenOffice / LibreOffice; I asked about working with LibreOffice last week with Jon whilst we were in Largs scoring the 2013 RYA Youth Nationals. Jon thinks it would be possible but at present just not have the time to investigate/implement. Other higher Sailwave priorities.

I have looked into this a little bit and there seems to be a divergence starting to appear between LibreOffice & OpenOffice in the API's, minor at present.

Is there anyone out there who is a Sailwave user with coding skills who could assist with making SWHelper work with LibreOffice / OpenOffice? I suppose what would be ideal is if SWHelper was able to detect, or ask, which spreadsheet was being used (LibreOffice, Microsoft Office or OpenOffice).

I think SWHelper will work with Office 2003, but will leave for others to definitively answer.
