When I e-mail a Sailwave file it fails to open when clicking on the attachment in Thunderbird. Sailwave open, but with no series open. If I detach the file and open it is fine. I have no idea if this a Thunderbird or Sailwave issue.
Hi Bob,
Interesting - Which Version and OS are you using
I tried in XP and right clicking a .blw file and selecting open would open it in Sailwave
I tried in then in Windows 7 64 bit and it opened Sailwave but did not load the file
What it needs to fix it is a registry change
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\sailwave.exe\shell\open\command]
@="“C:\Program Files (x86)\Sailwave\sailwave.exe” open="%1""
You can either make this change to the registry the entry should be there but may be the open= is missing
or simply
download this file SW-associate.reg
and double click it and it will update the registry for you.
Let us know how you get on

Hi Jon,
I am using Windows 7 SP1 , Thunderbird 17.6 and Sailwave 2.8.5.
Tried Register mod and it makes no difference. Behaviour exactly as you descibe.

Hi Bob,
If you right click on a .blw file from the windows explorer and select open does it open Sailwave with the file loaded or just Sailwave and no file?
If once Sailwave has opened go to Menu - Help - Log book
The first entry should be CmdLineFile= xxxxxx
Can you tell me what is displayed for the xxxxxx if anything
Thanks
