Optimist are divided into age-related fleets: Red, White and Blue. They all race together and are scored overall together. Would it be possible to add a column in the overall score showing the order of each fleet?
Example:
Rank Fleet Fleet-Rank
1st Red 1
2nd Whi 1
3rd Red 2
4th Blu 1
5th Red 3
6th Red 4
7th Whi 2
8th Whi 3
9th Red 5
My First thought is are you aware of this facility( Publish starts in separate columns) within Sailwave (Note this is a relatively new feature so make sure you are using a recent version of Sailwave).
So if you set starts for each race based on the ages and tick the box Publish starts in separate columns it would be obvious the order for each age group.
If you would like to send me a Sailwave blw file with a typical entry I will configure it to publish like this to see what you think.
Additionally with a little work and using a spare column you could get the exact results you wish by using the tools seed competitor field
Again if you you send me a file I’ll demonstrate it. I could then also look at automating it a little for you.
