Permanently changing column headings by editing Locale

I am trying to make permanent changes to the column headings, without success.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

-created a locale file containing an English to English translation

-downloaded the M.txt file https://www.sailwave.com/download/locales/M.txt

-edited within the file and saved the following:

-^HelmName

=Skipper

-pointed Global Settings, Language, Locale to the file.(tried point to each file)

-started a new series, the desired change was absent.

What am I missing?

Hello Evert,

You have to point to a language file, not to the “M-file”. Language file and M file must be copied to the same folder. The two files must have “identical” names like “eng.txt” and “engm.txt” .

Hello Evert,

You need two files. The (unchanged) englisch file (eng.txt) and the changed m-file, saved as “engm.txt”. Both files must by copied to the same folder. In global settings You have to point to the file “eng.txt”.

I’m sure, that works.
