It appears that the expression for assigning personal handicaps is a “global” setting and not a “series” setting. Is there a way to have a personal handicap expression be associated with a series and have another expression for another
series?
Thanks,
Tom Owen

The expression used for assigning personal handicaps is a global sticky value that is used for all subsequent Tools -> Assign Personal Handicaps. There are cases
where it would be desirable to have a different Personal Handicap expression for a series, especially if doing “what if” analysis. If the scorer/analyst forgets to set the expression back to the original value, all subsequent invocations may use an expression
that is not the correct or desired one. Allowing a unique expression to be associated with a series would provide more flexibility.

But then people that use the same for all their series would have to remember what it was and enter it every time.
If you want to automate it then you could use the NHC custom template.

Understand. Multiple scoring systems are allowed and are remembered in the .blw. Would it be unreasonable to have multiple personal handicap “systems” similar
to “scoring systems” saved in the .blw?
This is only a suggestion and not a requirement.

With the NHC Custom the template name that is used is stored within the blw so you do get a custom calculation for each scoring system, when using this method.
