Recently I have started playing around with sailwave in anticipation
of our upcoming season and I have a few comments.
1) Personal Handicaps are a neat idea, but I find them difficult to
implement with our club. Currently we have one series (August) that
is supposed to be based on a personal handicap. This handicap is
derived from each sailors performance in two earlier series. For us
the personal handicap utility would be a wonderful if it could draw
on data from other series to establish a number.
2) Our fleet uses USPN numbers. Since our series typically span
over an entire month we make handicap adjustments on a per race
basis for things like sailing with or without spinnaker, jib, etc.
Would it be possible to make the "Race Rating" field a formula based
entry so you could enter something like "default*1.02" to make a
minor adjustment to a default rating in a given race. This would
save the need for a calculator and reduce the posibility of a
foolish keystroke error.

Hi Matt,
Both need to be done. Phs is a bit of a minfield - every club does it
differently - my role being to try and spot generalities and implement
them - agree with both suggestions but cannot give you a date...
