Personal Handicaps : PH Tool

Having searched various messages I have been unable to find

1. A detailed and simple explanation of how to use this tool

2. If once used it is automatic.

At present we run an Excel spreadsheet that calculates a Personal
Handicap for each helm on a class by class basis. This S/S is updated
on a weekly basis with each PH being extracted and inserted in the
Rating Field at the start of a series.

This S/S also generates the entry lists for each class on which we
also record the finishing times.

By using the PH Tool, is it possible for Sailwave to modify this
figure as the series progresses, presumably by the BCR, if so, how is
it used and the basic data entered?

Any assistance anyone can offer will be appreciated, but even though
my maths is quite reasonable, a lot of the estoric maths offered in
this forum leaves me for dead.

Keith,
I’ve also struggled with the PH formula in sailwave and have decided that the spreadsheet is a better solution. I understand the PH module is under review and will be improved in a later release of Sailwave.
regards,
David.

Continplating a new R/C Nirvana II club, in the Grove, Okla. area.

Haven't heard from anyone around here, or about any Regetta's.
Probably won't get popular until late spring. May have two brothers
joining in by then. Would like a break down on, scoring, judging.
Videos would be nice if available.
