PHRF Tie race

Greetings,
I am new to sailwave and came up with a problem when we scored a PHRF
TOT race. Two boats different ratings sailed the race and both
scored a 1. I have not seen that before and wondered if something
needs to be corrected.
Many Thanks
Tom

Do they have the same corrected time? If so, it's a tie. Note that the
racing rules define corrected times be rounded to the nearest second, so
handicap ties do happen fairly frequently.

Yes they corrected to the same second. I was wondering if the TOT
variables(local wind factor) are correct or if there is a way to
verify that for my location. I am in New England.

Hi Darren,

Am I on the list twice? I seem to get 2 of everything!

Seems to be a common happening at the moment, perhaps Simon can shed some
light on it.

PS, hows the personal handicaps coming??? IM SQUEAKING!!!!!!!!

It is never far from my mind (unfortunately) and I'm gradually sneaking in
its direction with the other stuff I do; there are lots of wrinkes though...

Whats it worth to have them ready for November?

A new Marstrom A-Class would do it :-))

I noticed your f-18 for sale Colin? Nice boats.

Yes, but I need to move to a single-hander due to weird working hours and
the fact that my crew has discovered Tornados and is always off around the
world mixing with the rock-stars. I know lots of folk who have made the
switch from F18 to A-Class (like Rob Doyle in Cork) and have not looked
back. At 75Kg *including* sails the A-Class is a dream - and is as fast as
the F18s over the water. Are you (anybody) interested in the F18? - it's a
good price for a 2003 boat - immaculate condition - big Sailwave logos on
the hull which I could pay you to keep...

I'll post a message about the "wrinkles" I perceive with PHs and start a
discussion about it a little later. I need to get 1.59 finished first -
it's then a toss up between PHs and better publishing...

Colin J

Its nice to know you're a fellow Cat sailor Colin!

I sail in a nacra 5.8 fleet. Sailing against the A-class's we beat them in
the heavy, they kill us in the light. Very good boats.

Marstrom A? nahh you want a Flyer! Like Glenn runs, Back to back world
champ cant be wrong! (when u get an A, send away for an Ashby sail they are
to die for, they guys who run them in our club are very fast)

Let me toss the coin for PH v Publishing!! Heads its, PH, Tails its PH.

What do you know.. PH won!

Cheers

Darren.

A Flyer would be nice too; much cheaper than the Marstom and sexier...
Cheaper still is the XJ which seems to be doing OK... There seems to be a
bit an awakening WRT A-Class in the UK... about time too; awesome boats...
