PHRF Time on Time

I am new to the users group, this will be a learning experience for
me. I have started using Sailwave as a replacement for an ancient
DOS system which is no longer functional. I am getting in trouble
however. I need the ability to score PHRF with time on time as
opposed to time on distance. I also need the ability to do high
point scoring. Both of these capabilities existed in V1.38b4. I got
into trouble in that I have 3 different computers with differing
versions, so I upgraded all to V1.41. Today I see that I have
neither of the above needed functionalities. I have a national
regatta, (Cosairs Nationals) to score next week. I have sent an
email to Colin asking for help. Any help would be most appreciated,
my wife has just spent the last 1 1/2 hours entering competitors into
the system only to find that we can't do TOT.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Ron, just a note - the FAQ I mentioned in my email is number 31. CJ.

Refer to FAQ 31 in the help. I've copied it for you here:

31. How do I set up a series for Time on Time PHRF?
Select the Custom rating system and enter the formula required for corrected
time using the variables e for elapsed time, d for the race distance and r
for the rating. For example a typical PHRF TOT formula might be: e * (650 /
(550 + r)). The rating variable r will be appropriately wind indexed by the
time it gets to the formula if wind indexed ratings are used.

Good luck!
