PHRF ToT A&B values

Not having had any responses to my earlier request for guidance
respecting where to enter the A and B values needed for PHRF ToT
scoring, I have continued my own search for a solution. While I would
still like to know if there is a place for entering them as in older
versions of SW, I have learned that in the newest version I can simply
go to "Custom" and enter the formula c=A*e/(B+r), inserting of course
the actual numerical values for A and B.

I have Sailwave 1.94 b29. Our season here in Vermont is still a month or so away so I have not upgraded yet.

In this version the values for A and B can be entered under the scoring system by selecting the scoring system and the going to the Rating System tab. The default A and B values and Wind indexed A and B values can be entered in the lower right hand side of this tab.

Hope this helps,

When
you set up your scoring system under setup, scoring system you select PHRF TOT
and that allows you to set the default A and B values on the right side of the
same page. Also on the same page you can select the radio button for “use
wind indexed rating values” which will then let you set wind indexed A and
B values again on the same page. Then as each race is scored, you set up or
modify starts under edit race and specify the wind index value for that
race. Sailwave, I believe, takes care of the rest.

Several features of SW 1.94 are now hidden…

But they are present and can be accessed through the User Interface.

So SW is easy for beginners, but nothing is lost…

I don’t use PHRF ToT or ToD, but I was aware “there was something about it” as I’ve made a “locale”, translation in French…

It is available indeed under User Interface - Pro with just the [ V ] Wind indexed ratings checked…

Many thanks to Philippe, Jill, and Will for pointing me in the right direction. The version I have downloaded is 1.95 build 6. The boxes for entering A & B do not come up automatically when clicking "Scoring System" as in earlier versions. If I may summarize the solution: Go to "Set Up" > User Interface > Pro (not Lite!) > Wind Indexed Ratings > OK . Then go to Scoring System > TOT and the boxes now appear where they are expected. So the key is switching to Pro in User Interface. Again, merci beaucoup!
