PHRF TOT - Column PHRFTOT

Is there a way to get this column in the results list to reflect the TOT as calculated?

For example with A = 700 and B = 550 a boat with 100 PHRF would show as 1.076 for this column, rather than, or in addition to, 100.

As TOT is still new to our member it would be ideal if two columns were shown: PHRF = 100 and PHRFTOT = 1.076.

Thank you in advance

I don't know whether there is a way to do that. My recommendation (best
practices) for any PHRF races scored in the TOT method is to calculate
the time correction factors (TCFs) separately and post them so
competitors can check that the calculations are correct and then score
using one of the TCF methods in Sailwave. That way, the actual rating
(TCF) used to score will be displayed and competitors can check that
those are correct from the separate posting. It also helps to make clear
to competitors what the process of scoring entails, which for PHRF folks
is helpful since 99%+ of PHRF races are scores TOD.

Hi Art and origanal poster,

As long as the rating to be used for the calculation of race results is in the rating column, you can show the value from which it was derived in any other Sailwave column you choose and display it, in the published results. I would recommend that you add a note to the published results explaining how the PHRFTTOT rating has been derived and that the value in the field/column you have chosen to display the PHRF value is just that and not used to calculate the handicap results.

Kind regards,

Huw
