Hi Doug,
Expressions look OK to me, but yes, can confirm Sailwave is, in it’s nil wisdom, saying they are inconsistent. Ignore Sailwave and continue regardless, Sailwave will use the expressions as appropriate, everything will work OK. I’ll investigate why Sailwave thinks they are inconsistent; I suspect it’s a rounding problem or something similar.

Colin
Short-comings with PHRF aside, and understanding that this handicapping system is even worse Time over Time, I have a need to score with this system for a cruising race we host. I have entered the formula as a custom scoring option with the following:
c = e * ( 650 / ( 520 + r))
e = c * (r + 520) / 650
r = ( 650e - 520c)/c
Save catching an error in my algebra can you find anything wrong with this. I keep getting an error message when I test the formula stating that “Error in the c expression and/or the r expression. They are not consistent” I can not seem to find any mistake. I have attached the file as well. Thanks for taking a look.
Warmest regards,
-Doug Gordon
