There is a photo field in the system, but when I put the address of a photo, it shows me only the text of the address and not the photo itself.
Please someone knows how to solve this problem
Hi
When you say you only see the text of the text of the address,
when is this happening please?
If is when you are publishing on a web site and you have included
the location they are on your PC then yes that will be the case.
Because on the web site the path on the PC does not exist.
When you want to display images in your publications from a web
server you need to have the images on the web server firstly. Then
you need to adjust the link in Sailwave.
My strong recommendation is that paths in Sailwave are relative,
not absolute, to the location of the files. So for example, if the
Sailwave.BLW file your results are in is folder
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sailwave
then images could be in
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sailwave\images
Now when adding the photo of a competitor, event or club image
then the path link will be
…/images/event-logo.png
…/images/competitor1.png
Not
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sailwave\images\event-logo.png
The … means the current location.
To have the images displayed when you access from a web server
they need to have been uploaded to the web server into the images
folder which is a sub-folder of the one the results HTML file has
been uploaded.
Hope that makes sense. If you still have questions then please
ask.
Kind regards,
Huw
