I am trying to look at individual races by changing the PHRF Ratings for several boats. I can’t seem to figure out how to change a PHRF Rating within a race so that I can determine how the changed rating affects the outcome of the race. I want to try different ratings for any given race but can’t seem to figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome.
The way to change the rating for a boat for a race is by right
clicking the cell of the junction of competitor & race, then
select edit result. When the window pops up click the rating tab.
Near the bottom is a box alongside ‘Race rating’ fill in this box
with rating you wish to be used. You have the option of then using
this rating until it is changed for a future race.

The ratings can be changed at the individual race result level. Right click on a race result and edit the result. It works for US Portsmouth ratings and I no reason why it won’t work for PHRF. However, if you use PHRF Time on Time, you won’t be able to change the A and B values at the race level.
Maybe one way to change it by the race level is too use the wind index rating values method. I would enter " 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10" as the wind index values as shown below:
Then at the race level you have to select the index number to use:
You also have to add the rating to the competitor’s entry information. There are way to do this by reading the data from an ASCII file.
In the above example it will use 95 as the boat’s rating for the particular race.

Select a result, right click, Edit Result, then the Rating tab.
Put your trial rating in the Race Rating box
