We have manually assigned a value for DNC as 'The number of racers in the race with the largest turnout +1' . As our turnout is quite variable and sporadic we needed a value that was less onerous than the standard 'Series entrants +1'.

We have manually assigned a value for DNC as 'The number of

I think this is what Jill is getting at too; I'll add it. The precise
implementation will be - the maximum number of boats that came to the start
area in any race of the series.
You could do it now I think by excluding (Edit+Competitor) all competitors
that have all DNCs in the series.

create the value for DNC that we desire.
We have a lot of racers that compete only for a few races in our 9 weekend
summer series. We wanted to score a DNC in all races no higher than a DNC
in the race that had the most starters. It seemed to be the smallest value
we could assign that didn't penalize the DNC's in that 'largest' race.
