We have used the list of entries in last year’s series to populate this year’s series. Very much a list of possible competitors in the new series. This makes it quicker/easier to enter results as a competitor decides to compete. We have a list of about 16 for this year’s series and in race 1 of the series this year we had 10 entries , one of which was DNF.
The trouble is that when publishing results the 9 that finished scored 1 to 9 points but the DNF scored points based on the 16 possible entrants on the list.
- Is there any way to prevent the scoring of points for the DNQ as it is misleading as it may not be the points scored at the conclusion of the series.?
- IF we were to base them on the entrants in the particular race this would be misleading as they may change when the series is complete?
- Our Practice on completion of the series is to delete those competitors that did not compete at all in the series and then rescore the series: is there anything wrong with that?
