Printing results & file compatibility

I recently scored a regatta with 79 entrants. When I went to print
the results once the information was on the web browser, I got one
page with the headings and nothing else, the next page with the first
35 results and the final page with nothing but the Sailwave info
usually printed at the bottom of a result page. To print the entire
result I first had to highlight the entire table and then ask the
printer to print the selected items highlighted. It then worked. Is
this the normal way or did I miss something when setting the up the
regatta file?

Is the result file compatable with excel and if so how do you import
to the excel file?

Hi!

Which version are you using?

I had this problem earlier this year, but Colin fixed it in a upgrade… Use 1.94 B25

Perhaps - also state which browser is being used.

I’ve encountered this with Firefox. IE works better in this regard.

Thanks for the information and yes I’m using firefox. Also, version 1.94b25 which just came through two days ago, I tried after downloading and still had the same problem.

So will try IE.

Thanks, Bob Winter

Hi Robert,

I have no idea what this phenomenon is but I do accept that it's happening.
The HTML seems fine - it just print some browsers just blank page in
landscape print - I need to fiddle with the HTML generated to stop the
phenomenon but it's a browser thing not a Sailwave thing.

You can import directly into Excel using the Publish to Application
destination when publishing - click the button to locate Excel for you.

At a loss.

Hi Colin,

I tried using Application and then clicking MSExcel in the publish mode but get an error message in Excel “Microsoft Excel viewer cannot open files of this type”. I tried Word as well but got the same type of message. I then went to file and sent the results to the desktop and then opened the desktop file with Excel and it seemed to work.?.?.? Bob Winter
