Publish Menu Disappears

I am new to SailWave. I installed and it asked for the publisher and I chose Internet Explorer. That worked fine for a while, but now selecting the Publish menu nothing happens. I have reinstalled with same results. I ran with ADMIN with same results. What can I do to get the Publish menu back?

This problem has reappeared. I tried to add new series and the publish worked for a while and now will not display the menu. I closed all out and went back the series that was publishing okay, but it will not show the publish menu. The menu item is on the task bar, but will not drop down when selected. Any suggestions to correct would be most appreciated.

Hello Tom,

which Sailwave version do You use?
In Sailwave versions 2.4.8 or 2.4.9 You see an empty publish menue, if you choosed an empty folder in "Global Option" / "Folders" / "my template files". If you does not use templates of your own, you should refer to "sailwave-installation-folder"\templates.

That is a general Sailwave setting and not stored in a series file.

What OS, version ?

I don't think there is an install step asking for publisher, either

during or afterwards. At what stage did you get that?

One of the publish options while publishing is to publish to the

default browser, which may be IE.

Thanks for the info, but that does not fix the problem. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and SailWave 2.4.9. I reset the “Global Option” “Folders” to point to the Template in the installation folder (“C:\Program Files (x86)\Sailwave\Templates”), opened SailWave, selected a series that was publishing, scored the series, and Publish Menu would not show the dropdown. Also, when starting up, it says there is a newer version available, Current version is 2.4.9, New version is 2.4.8. This is backwards. . When the publish menu did drop down, I was able to select Internet Explorer and the publish would complete properly.

Did you ever solve your problem? I've just tried upgrading to version 2.4.9 and am experiencing the same issues that you reported!
I've gone back to 2.02 build 5 which works fine for me but doesn't integrate with the new RYA PY upload system!

It appears to be working now, but I do not know what I did to make it work. Appears to be sporadic.
